Batch Spreadsheet Merge & Split
Full instructions and common questions
Batch Spreadsheet Merge & Split
Combine Excel, CSV and TSV from departments, stores or registration channels. Select worksheets, align different column names and retain filenames, worksheets and source row numbers. Preview and download Excel, CSV or a ZIP split by department, with processing in your browser.
How to use
- Choose XLSX, UTF-8 CSV or TSV files, or try the sample. Select worksheets and review row counts and import failures. The first row must contain column names.
- Review each output column name. Rename Employee to Name to align it with another table’s Name column. Leave a target name empty to exclude that column. Sources are retained by default; deduplication requires you to select business keys.
- Generate a merged preview and check row counts, blank cells and sources. Download XLSX or CSV, choose a field to split into CSV files in a ZIP, save the result, or continue in data cleanup.
Try an example
Collect department lists. Map Employee and Name to Name, and Team and Department to Department. The merged table should align these values while source columns locate the original file, worksheet and row.
Limits and privacy
Up to 30 files / 50 MB total, 10 MB per file, 50,000 rows, 200 columns and 1 million cells. Split into up to 200 groups. Exports contain cell values, without original formatting, pictures, macros or formulas. Formula cells need saved calculated values. Legacy XLS and scanned tables are not supported. Use UTF-8 CSV/TSV and store leading-zero identifiers as text in Excel.
Common questions
Are similar column names merged automatically?
Only matching names after trimming surrounding whitespace align automatically. Review and rename synonyms yourself to avoid combining different business meanings.
Does this remove duplicates?
All records are retained by default. Select deduplication keys to retain the first matching record. Records with any blank key value remain for review.
What if an import fails?
Review the reason, repair and reimport. To process only successfully read sources, explicitly confirm that choice; failed data is excluded.
How do I preserve leading zeros?
Prefer XLSX, which stores output cells as text. CSV retains characters, but opening it directly in Excel may convert identifiers to numbers. Import it as text and set identifier columns to text.
Will results remain after closing the page?
Inputs and the preview remain only in this page session. Download or explicitly save to this browser’s result library. Use downloaded files to move between devices.
