Screenshot tool

Full instructions and common questions

Screenshot tool

Capture a selected screen, window or tab, crop by dragging, and add rectangles, arrows or text. Images are processed locally and screen sharing stops after capture.

How to use

  1. Allow screen sharing, upload or paste a PNG, JPEG or WebP image, or try the sample first.
  2. Drag the crop edges or enter exact coordinates and dimensions. Switch annotation modes to draw on the original image or click to place text.
  3. Review the export preview, then download PNG, copy the screenshot or send it to an image tool.

Try an example

The sample is 960 × 600 pixels. Set a 480 × 300 crop and add an arrow. The export should be 480 × 300 pixels with annotations inside that crop.

Limits and privacy

One image up to 30 MB and 40 million pixels. Capture takes a single frame; it does not scroll through a full webpage. Annotations are not a secure redaction tool.

Common questions

Why is screen capture unavailable on my phone?

Some mobile browsers do not support screen sharing. Use your device screenshot controls, then upload or paste the image.

Why can I not copy the screenshot?

Clipboard permission or browser support may be limited. Download the PNG instead.
