Table Reconciliation

Compare two tables by a shared business key for free. Check record counts and amount totals with an absolute tolerance, inspect exceptions and export a full CSV report.

How to use

  1. Choose one CSV, TSV, JSON or XLSX file and worksheet on each side, or load the reconciliation example.
  2. Select a shared business key and amount field, then set an absolute tolerance in the same units as the amount.
  3. Reconcile and inspect differences, row counts and duplicate-key notes. Difference means right minus left; duplicate records require business review.
  4. Disable “Show exceptions only” to inspect every key and export the complete report. Saved rules retain fields and tolerance; verify mappings when restoring them.

Try an example

In the sample, 001 matches. For 002, left amounts 50+20 compare with right 70.01: within 0.02 tolerance, but row counts differ. 003 is left-only and 004 right-only. Leading zeros remain intact.

Limits and privacy

One file per side, up to 20 MB. Keys cannot be blank; missing or nonnumeric amounts are flagged as invalid. Duplicate-key values are grouped with review notes. Results do not certify accounting agreement, duplicate payment or transaction authenticity. Align currencies and units first.

Common questions

Why is an item exceptional despite being within tolerance?

Its row counts may differ. Counts are checked alongside totals so similar amounts do not hide missing or repeated records.

Does export include only the visible exceptions?

No. The complete report includes every business key; the exceptions checkbox changes the preview only.

Free use and requirements

Use this tool for free without a KitNelo account. Processing runs in your browser; input limits, browser support and device memory still apply.

Counts and totals are both checked. Similar totals cannot prove that all underlying records match.

Reconcile Two Spreadsheets by Key for Free

Load two tables and select a shared business key to group records for comparison. Inspect both group counts and amount totals before accepting a match; equal totals can conceal offsetting differences or different underlying records.

Compare Order Totals in CSV Files for Free

Choose the order key and amount fields, then set an absolute tolerance for the reconciliation. Verify currencies and amount definitions first, since a small numeric difference has no useful meaning when the source columns describe different monetary measures.

Find Missing and Duplicate Table Records for Free

Review keys that appear on only one side and groups whose counts suggest repeated records. Export the full CSV exception report and investigate its source rows, rather than assuming that similar aggregate amounts prove every individual order matches.
