Omni Scanner
Omni Scanner combines camera capture, imports, page editing, OCR review, organized exports and a local project library. Scanning, recognition and exports run locally.
How to use
- Capture or import images, PDFs, TIFF, Office, text and one-level ZIP files; check order and sources.
- Adjust corners for perspective correction, tune filters, rotation and shadows, or split book spreads. Add visible signatures, text or permanent pixel redaction.
- Run batch quality review and inspect low-resolution, dark and low-detail candidates against processed thumbnails. Recognize Chinese / English and review text beside the scan. Pixel edits clear previous OCR.
- Reuse recipes, classify with the first matching rule and rename. Review receipt rows and export separate currency totals. Check missing page numbers and recognize only needed pages, then export documents, save projects and back them up.
Try an example
Try the three-page sample with English OCR. The receipt should include TOTAL USD 128.50 and the card provides contact candidates. Redacting text clears previous OCR; scanned PDFs discard original hidden layers.
Limits and privacy
Up to 50 files / 150 MB per batch, 40 MB per file, 100 pages and 3000 pixels per edge. Office content is reflowed. OCR supports Simplified Chinese / English; review handwriting and complex tables. Full backups include uncropped pages and must not be shared as redacted deliverables. AI book flattening, cloud collaboration, fax, direct hardware scanning and authenticity checks require added services.
Common questions
Are scans uploaded?
No. Capture, processing, OCR and export run in your browser. Translation uses its service only after you explicitly submit text there.
Why is searchable PDF unavailable?
Every selected page needs a current OCR PDF. Pixel edits clear OCR; text corrections clear the old search layer. Recognize again.
Do recipes and ledgers run or save automatically?
Recipes reuse settings and confirm selected pages. Recognition, renaming and classification require your action. Apply ledger fields to pages before saving the project; review state belongs to this session.
How can I continue on another device?
Download a full project backup and restore it on the other device. AES-GCM encryption is optional; lost passwords cannot recover backups.
