How to use
Choose a scenario and paste text or import TXT, Markdown, DOCX or a text PDF. Extract scans with OCR first.
For long documents, choose a suggested segment or custom range, apply optional exclusions and inspect the exact submission. Run free local review first.
Connect a detection account and confirm submission and billing information. Review native provider scores, sentence signals and provenance, then export.
Try an example
Import a blog, exclude Markdown code blocks and inspect the preview. Without a connected account, export a clearly labeled local structure report without an AI percentage.
Limits and privacy
Provider detection requires an account and credits: at least 300 characters for Winston AI or 250 for GPTZero, up to 50,000 characters. Local imports support up to 500,000 characters and 8 MB; only PDF has a 30-page limit. Choose suggested segments or a custom range for long documents. Each scan remains subject to provider and shared site limits; segment results do not represent the whole document. Probabilities are not AI word shares, do not prove authorship and must not be the sole basis for penalties.
Common questions
Can I use this without a detection API account?
Use free local document preparation, text counts and a report clearly labeled AI detection not performed. Provider detection needs a connected account.
Will it match my school’s AI score?
No. Providers, model versions and scopes yield non-equivalent scores. This does not replace an institution’s required system or human review.
Are my text and key stored?
They are not automatically saved to browser or account storage. Detection sends previewed text through the server to the selected provider; temporary keys stay in memory. Provider retention and billing rules still apply.
Local document preparation and text checks are free. AI detection uses Winston AI or GPTZero and requires a configured site account or a temporary personal API key, consent and provider credits. No score is generated when the service is unavailable.
300–50,000 characters for Winston AI; 250–50,000 for GPTZero. Local review is free and does not detect AI. Provider detection needs an account and credits. Local imports support up to 500,000 characters and 8 MB; only PDF has a 30-page limit. Long documents support explicit segment selection; site credits still apply and partial results are not whole-document scores. Winston Human Scores and GPTZero class probabilities are not AI word shares or proof of authorship.

Check Blogs and Marketing Copy for AI Writing Signals
Paste a blog or import a document, select the scope and preview the exact submission before sending it. Choose Winston AI or GPTZero’s official API with consent and available credits. Winston AI returns Human Scores; GPTZero returns class probabilities. Detection does not assess factual accuracy, plagiarism, content quality or search rankings.
Review Papers and Essays Without Treating Scores as Proof
Keep drafts and revision records alongside a paper. Optionally exclude the bibliography after checking the detected References heading. Winston Human Scores and GPTZero class probabilities are model estimates, not percentages of AI-written words. They are not institution-certified results and must not be used alone for academic penalties.
Import Documents and Inspect the Submitted Text
Read UTF-8 TXT, Markdown, DOCX and unencrypted text PDFs locally, up to 8 MB and 500,000 characters. Only PDF has a 30-page limit; scans need OCR first. Choose suggested segments or a custom range with source positions and an exact preview. Each provider submission accepts up to 50,000 characters, subject to shared site credits. Partial results are clearly labeled and are never averaged into a document score.
Export a Traceable AI Text Review Report
Inspect provider-returned sentence scores or flags, model version, scope exclusions and input SHA-256. Export JSON, TXT or printable HTML for browser print-to-PDF. Full text is excluded from exports by default. Without a detection account, the free local report contains counts and structure only, with no AI estimate.
