Two scanned forms: searchability still requires field review

scanned.pdf has two image-only fictional forms. Page 1: REF K-00125, AMOUNT 0.75, NOT APPROVED. Page 2: REF K-00999, AMOUNT -12.00, APPROVED. scan-1.png and scan-2.png are the matching source images.

1. Try selecting or searching REF in the original. Import scanned.pdf into Scan workbench, recognize it and export a searchable PDF plus text.

2. Reopen the exported PDF, retain both page images and search K-00125 and K-00999. Inspect copied characters too.

3. Compare every field with the source image. Record original, recognized and reviewed values with a review status, especially NOT and the negative sign.

The reference contains two records, amounts 0.75 and -12.00, and states NOT APPROVED and APPROVED. A successful search establishes a text layer, not correct transcription of every field; compare with the source images.

Reading NOT APPROVED as APPROVED fails even if the identifier is searchable. Correcting TXT does not also repair a PDF’s hidden text layer. Inspect and regenerate the affected output, or explicitly retain an unresolved transcription status.
