Requirements and use guide
- A client supporting the chosen remote or local MCP configuration, a GitHub account and organizational permissions.
- Choose remote or local connection using the official README.
- Authorize OAuth or a minimally scoped token as supported by the client and choose toolsets.
- Test read-only queries first, then explicitly authorize necessary writes.
Task example
Summarize unresolved issues and pending PRs with links without modifying them.
Limits
- Clients, organizational policy and tokens determine tool availability; connecting does not grant every repository permission.
- Some tools create or modify issues and PRs; review enabled tools and authorization scope.
